What is Stage Crew?
The Stage Crew works on every aspect of the various productions at Highland Park High School. This includes construction, painting, properties, lighting, sound, special effects and costuming. You will be given the opportunity to try everything! No experience is necessary! We will show you how and you will work with experienced students.

Studio Theatre Booth prepares for a rehearsal. |
What do we do?
We provide technical support for:
Stunts
Fall Play
Spring Play
Dance HP in Concert
The Musical
The Short Play Festival
All Music Concerts
and Outside Rentals.
We work in both the Studio Theatre
and the Auditorium.
How do I join?
There are four ways:
1. Come to the Main Auditorium or Studio Theatre any day after school.
2. Check the Fine Arts Callboard
3. Talk to someone already on Crew.
4. See Mr. Conway in his office across from the Studio Theatre.

When does the Stage Crew meet?
We meet daily from 3:15-5 PM while we are working on a production. That time commitment will increase when we get into tech rehearsals.
Do I have to work every show?
No. There are lots of students who are also athletes or are in the cast of a show or in other clubs. You can pick and choose which shows you would like to work on or you can work them all.
Design Opportunities
Students who take Tech Theatre 3-4 (Stage Design) are given a chance to test their design skills in practical situations. Stunts, Dance HP in Concert and The Short Play Festival are all student designed. Here is a chance to show off your creative talents!
